Instructor: Mrs. Barbara Hudson
Mrs. Hudson graduated from Clemson University in 1983 with a B.S.
in Ceramic Engineering. She worked for Union Carbide as a
Production Engineer focusing on temperature measurement in the
sintering of monolithic capacitors. She was a Design Engineer for
JMS Southeast, Inc. Later she served as Director of Engineering,
then General Manager. While at JMS Southeast, she conducted
research on new technology, such as the nicriosil-nisil
thermocouple, resistance temperature detector accuracy, thermowell
design and material optimizations. She worked in close design
partnership with large chemical, power and textile manufacturers
and taught seminars on temperature measurement with organizations
such as The American Ceramic Society, American Association of
Textile Colorists and Chemists, the Brick Manufacturers of
America, IEC and ASTM.
Currently, Mrs. Hudson is a consultant in the area of temperature
measurement and is available for temperature measurement training
exclusively through JMS Southeast and their representatives.
She lives with her two daughters and husband in Charlotte, NC
