Empowering the Arts Through Everyday Giving

At JMS Southeast Inc. and Statesville Process Instruments Inc., community support goes beyond corporate responsibility—it's woven into the fabric of their workplace culture. Their latest act of generosity demonstrates just how impactful everyday actions can be. In November, the companies donated $800 to the Iredell Arts Council through their innovative vending machine program—an employee-driven initiative that turns snack purchases into meaningful charitable contributions.

This unique program involves stocking vending machines with snacks and drinks purchased by the companies, marking them up by 100 percent, and selling them to employees. Each month, proceeds are donated to a different local organization. The November recipient, the Iredell Arts Council, works tirelessly to promote creativity and artistic engagement throughout Iredell County.

“We are truly grateful to JMS Southeast Inc. and Statesville Process Instruments Inc. for this wonderful donation,” said Sydney Koppelmeyer, executive director of the Iredell Arts Council. “Support like this helps us sustain and expand our programs, bringing the arts to life for people in our community. Their partnership makes a meaningful difference.”

This initiative reflects a deeper commitment to supporting the communities of Iredell and Alexander counties—not only through direct financial contributions but by involving employees in the process of giving. By simply purchasing a snack, team members become part of a larger mission to uplift local charities and causes.

As the vending machine program continues each month, it highlights a powerful truth: small actions, when multiplied, can lead to significant impact. The partnership with the Iredell Arts Council is just one of many examples of how local businesses can play a vital role in nurturing community development—one snack at a time.
