JMS Southeast Helps Fuel Literacy at West Iredell Middle School

JMS Southeast continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to community education with a recent donation of over $800 to West Iredell Middle School, supporting the school’s Scholastic Book Fair Share the Fair program. This generous contribution helps provide students with access to new books for personal reading and enhances classroom libraries for teachers.

The Share the Fair initiative turns community donations into expanded funding for the school’s media center. These funds not only offer immediate benefits—like new reading material—but also contribute to the school’s overall book fair earnings, maximizing the impact for students and educators alike.

Part of the donation came from JMS Southeast’s unique employee-driven vending machine program, where proceeds from snack and drink purchases go directly to local charities and initiatives. In fall 2024, one month’s worth of vending machine sales was dedicated to supporting West Iredell Middle’s book fair fund, further strengthening the company’s support for youth literacy.

“On behalf of our students and staff, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to JMS Southeast and its employees for their generosity,” said Linda Campbell, Media Coordinator at West Iredell Middle School. “Their support has brought joy to many of our students, and we are equally thankful for the contributions from G&M Milling and JS Fiber, which have all played a critical role in making our literacy programs more robust.”

Through its ongoing philanthropic efforts, JMS Southeast continues to prove that investing in education—especially literacy—has lasting, positive effects on the entire community. By helping put more books into the hands of young readers, they’re not just funding a book fair—they’re helping spark a lifelong love of learning.
